the soldier's creed
my son's company at fort sam houston reciting the soldier's creed. there are almost 400 soldiers in this unit... my guy is there somewhere:
Soldier’s Creed
I am an American Soldier.
I am a warrior and a member of a team.
I serve the people of the United States, and live the Army Values.
I will always place the mission first.
I will never accept defeat.
I will never quit.
I will never leave a fallen comrade.
I am disciplined, physically and mentally tough, trained and proficient in my warrior tasks and drills.
I always maintain my arms, my equipment and myself.
I am an expert and I am a professional.
I stand ready to deploy, engage, and destroy, the enemies of the United States of America in close combat.
I am a guardian of freedom and the American way of life.
I am an American Soldier.
my son.. the soldier
he did it. my son graduated from bct (army basic training) at fort benning on a rainy april morning. georgia was beautiful and we had a blast with our son. thank you for your patience in my absence!
army strong.
me and my soldier :)
baseball season
my girl.. i may be biased, but she has to be the prettiest 3rd baseman in an otherwise, all boys league!

sneak peak at basic training
thank god for the wonderful drill sargeants, wifes, family and group leaders who take photos at basic training at fort benning. even though my son is on the other side of the country, i still get sneak peaks at his progress :) my son is smack in the middle. first in line on the right side of center (has glasses on) :)
